Apology and Notice for Delivery of Messages Directing to Phishing Sites

Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama was confirmed that a message was sent to customers who made a reservation at Booking.com (Headquarters: Amsterdam, Netherland) to direct them to a phishing site *Please note that Booking.com does not ask for credit card information or request payment via email or chat with customers who have made a reservation.
Booking.com announced that any critical back-end systems or infrastructure were not compromised. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused to you.
*"Phishing sites" are fake websites that pretend to be real websites in order to use fraudulent methods to steal personal and financial information.

1.History of the incident
On the afternoon of January 25, 2024, our company staff confirmed that a message with a URL link to a phishing site had been delivered to guests who had booked their stay through Booking.com using a system managed by Booking.com and our hotel. In response, on January 26, Booking.com sent a message  to customers to whom the relevant message had been received, instructing them not to access the URL link in question.
Our hotel and Booking.com are currently investigating the cause of unauthorized access.
