About Initiatives for SDGs
As one of the SDGs initiatives, Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama will strive to reduce plastic products in line with “Law Concerning the Promotion of Resource Recycling of Plastic”, which effected in April 2022.
Toward Environmentally-Friendly Products
We are replacing the guestroom amenities and cutlery for delivery with alternative materials.
However, since it is not in accordance with the purpose of the law to dispose of conventional plastic products, we will gradually switch over to alternative materials.
For the time being, alternative materials will be used for items used in guest rooms on three of the nine guest room floors, while conventional plastic products will be used on the other floors.
We plan to complete the switchover to alternative materials as soon as the stock of conventional products runs out.

About using of biomass straws
All-Day Dining “Le Jardin” has switched to straws made mainly from renewable organic resources (biomass) in an effort to reduce plastic waste.
About efforts to promote resource circulation related to plastics, etc.
In fiscal 2022, we have taken measures to reduce the weight of plastic used per customer by 15% from the fiscal 2021 level by switching from conventional products to products using alternative plastics for the five guest amenity items subject to the specified plastic use products.
As a result, we have achieved a 25% reduction.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our customers and partner companies for their cooperation.
We will continue our efforts to promote resource recycling.
Your continued understanding and cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
